Our 3D CAD supplier models have been moved to 3Dfindit.com, the new visual search engine for 3D CAD, CAE & BIM models.
You can log in there with your existing account of this site.
The content remains free of charge.
The following two examples will show the use of the two mentioned templates.
The goal of the two examples is always the same: Building catalog structure = Setting import path for the item.
You will see that the approach is different in the two examples but the result is the same.
If there’s a
choice always work with pdmProxyPdmDocumentI
(example 1),
because the values in there can be stored in a XML file. This XML file can
be taken as input for a new pipeline. The other approach is not
persistent. It can not be saved in any file. If an error occurs in the
pipeline / program, the data is lost.
The explanation of both options is given just for the sake of completeness.
